Couple #7: Lindsey Cancelli

Steven and I met at the end of our junior year of high school (2006). He was on a family vacation in Arizona and his cousin was my best friend. We spent a week hanging out and getting into trouble like every teenager does! After a week together he went home to Illinois. We remained friends and talked on and off for the next 3 years! In the spring of 2009 we started seeing each other long distance! (I was still in Arizona and he was still in Illinois) He visited me quite a few times during the next few months. We both decided to move to New York together at the end of 2009 to start our adventure together! A year later we were visiting my family in Arizona when Steven took me to the Grand Canyon. I am more of a daredevil then him, and he is scared of heights, however I got him to climb out past the rope and look at the amazing view with me! He told me he needed to tie his shoe so he bent down and took my hand.... to my surprise he popped the question... and of course I said no a couple of times (due to shock)... but then happily said yes! He proposed in the state where it all started and the rest is history! We are now married with 3 amazing boys.
